The class of 6B visited the “Haus der Mathematik” on the 15th of December 2017.
Mathematics is one of the very important subjects in school and is the language of science. Right from early school years we are taught Mathematics. Some of us love it, some of us dread it and can’t wait to see the last of it, some of learn it, give it our best shot not fully understanding why it is considered a very important part of formative experience. In this trip to “Haus der Mathematik”, we got to spend a couple of hours doing what is called “immersive learning”. We were introduced to the subject through puzzles and tricks, through games in the “Erlebniswelt” and through a walk down the memory lane in the museum.
It was a fun outing — Teo and Stefan even won themselves a bar of chocolate and a jar of honey respectively. It was also perfectly timed as it was the last day of school for Carla. We will miss you Carla, all the best for your future and do keep in touch.
