On March 5th, 22 students of KIS attended the first International University Fair ever held in Vienna. We were offered a free shuttle ride to Danube International School and were met by our host, Lucija. The fair itself was only offered on a “by invitation only” basis to students from private IB schools and high profile high schools in Austria.
It was really exciting to be able to talk one-on-one with representatives and admissions officers from various universities from countries such as Canada, France, UK, Netherlands, France, Germany and Switzerland. After getting ourselves acquainted with the various admission and scholarship procedures of the universities of our choice, we also attended two short lectures, one on finding the right university and one on how to successfully write a personal statement.
It was definitely two hours well spent and – who knows – attending this fair might have laid the foundation to some students’ future life and career.
