Gymnasium Klosterneuburg is an Austrian state secondary school for pupils aged 10-18 (grades 1 to 8 in the Austrian system).

Admission to the Bilingual Programme in Grade 1 takes place in several steps:

In mid/late January, you will find links on our school homepage for online pre-registration on Sokrates (please select "Interesse am Bilingual Programme" on this form) and for online appointment booking for registration at the school office. Once you have registered your child at the school office, interviews with the head of school and members of our teaching staff will take place in mid-February for all new pupils.To ensure that your child is well suited to our bilingual programme, a further (two-part) consultation procedure is then necessary.

The consultation procedure for Grade 1 (bilingual) takes place annually after school enrolment in the desired language (German or English) at the end of February/beginning of March. If you register your child for this during the general enrolment process, you will receive all necessary information. If your child wishes to join the Bilingual Programme later (in a higher school year), there is a consultation procedure as well.

All placements into grades 1 to 7 are administered by the Bilingual Office.

It is a legal requirement to live in the catchment area of our school, comprising central Klosterneuburg and its surrounding cadastral districts (Höflein, Kierling, Kritzendorf, Maria Gugging, Weidling, Weidlingbach/Scheiblingstein, St Andrä Wördern).
